Scienta Systems Ltd April 2011 Update

After a very hectic start to the year, Scienta Systems have completed another installation in the US, this time on a 6 colour Mitsubishi press with twin coating capabilities. This particular installation went very smooth indeed and foiled sheets where printed within a few days.

This is now another press which can foil and Cast and Cure™ as the unit is position on the first coating unit. This unit has all the features of the past machines but also a new ‘Web Break Detection’ system which gives the operators added peace of mind with regard to safety. Again, the software has been improved with updated speed control of the foil/film rolls and a more subtle core management technique.

Also during this visit to the States, Scienta Systems completed an upgrade to a previous customer with the installation and commissioning of Differential Shafts to an existing foiling machine. This customer now has the ability to run multiple smaller webs to ensure that costs are kept to a minimum and so is foil wastage.
